what are the causes of pinkeye and pinkeye
The main causes of pinkeye are bacterial and viral infection
The common pathogenic bacteria are pneumococcus kochweeks, influenza bacillus, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus. The latter two bacteria can usually parasitize conjunctival sac and do not cause conjunctivitis, but they can sometimes cause acute conjunctivitis when other conjunctival diseases and local or systemic resistance decrease. Bacteria can directly contact conjunctiva through various media, and spread rapidly in public places, collective units such as kindergartens, schools and families, resulting in epidemic. Especially in spring and autumn, various respiratory diseases such as influenza and rhinitis are prevalent, and conjunctivitis pathogenic bacteria may spread through respiratory secretions.
