Related symptoms: swelling in the ear, pus in the ear canal, pain in the ear and pain in the root of the ear

I. Symptoms:

The most common symptoms are stuffiness or blockage in ears, hearing loss and tinnitus. It often happens after catching a cold or unconsciously. Sometimes changes in head position can improve hearing. There is self-hearing enhancement. Some patients have mild earache. Children often show slow obedience or inattention.

1. Hearing loss: Hearing loss and self-hearing enhancement. When the head position leans forward or leans towards the healthy side, the hearing can be temporarily improved because the effusion leaves the cochlear transmission (displacement hearing improvement). When the effusion is viscous, the hearing will not change due to the change of head position. Children are often slow to respond to sound, inattentive, and their academic performance declines, so their parents bring them to seek medical treatment. If one ear is sick and the hearing of the other ear is normal, it can be undetected for a long time, and it will be discovered at the time of physical examination.

2. Earache: Acute patients may have dull earache, which is often the first symptom of patients, and can be persistent or painful. Chronic earache is not obvious. This disease is very related to obliteration or stuffy feeling in the ear, which can be temporarily relieved after pressing the tragus.

3. Tinnitus: Most of them are low-key intermittent, such as "crackling", buzzing and running water. When the head moves or yawns or blows your nose, the sound of air passing through the water can appear in your ears.

4. The skin around the patient has a feeling of "wood" and psychological boredom.
