Periodontal symptoms

Typical symptoms: gums and gingival papilla become round and pure, bright, stippling disappears, gingival powder is soft and fragile, inelastic, gingival probing is easy to bleed, and local tartar or dental calculus exists. There is also the formation of periodontal pockets, in which pus overflows and teeth loosen to varying degrees.

Related symptoms: Gingival bleeding, gingival pain, gingivitis, periodontal pocket formation, gingival pus overflow and abnormal teeth

I. Symptoms:

1. Gingivitis is mainly characterized by round, pure and bright gingival papilla, disappearance of stippling, soft and fragile gingival powder, lack of elasticity, easy bleeding in gingival probing, and local tartar or calculus.

2. In addition to gingivitis, periodontitis also has periodontal pockets, in which pus overflows and teeth loosen to varying degrees. X-ray photos show that alveolar bone is absorbed to varying degrees.

II. Diagnostic criteria:

1. Physical stimulation of gums is easy to bleed.

2. Gingival congestion and edema in the sick area. Periodontitis can explore periodontal pockets, and teeth are loose to varying degrees.

3. X-ray photos show that alveolar bone of periodontitis patients is absorbed to varying degrees. However, gingivitis has no alveolar bone resorption.
