strong acid and alkalosis

Both strong acid and strong alkali are corrosive agents, which can cause severe esophageal chemical burns after being swallowed. Common strong acids are sulfuric acid, nitric acid and hydrochloric acid. Common strong bases include sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and weakly corrosive sodium carbonate and potassium carbonate.
