pulmonary bullae

Pulmonary bullae refers to emphysematous alveoli with a diameter of more than 1cm in pulmonary parenchyma, which often occurs on the basis of emphysema and is generally secondary to inflammatory lesions of small bronchus, such as pneumonia, emphysema and tuberculosis, and often coexists with emphysema clinically. The mechanism is similar to emphysema, but the degree is severe.
