Prevention of obstetric shock

Prevention of obstetric shock

Postpartum hemorrhage infection is the key point to prevent shock. We should pay special attention to the observation of vaginal bleeding during and after delivery, use uterine contraction agents to strengthen uterine contraction when necessary to prevent postpartum hemorrhage, actively deal with the inducing factors of obstetric infection, find early DIC manifestations in time, and actively treat DIC.

1. Actively prevent and treat postpartum hemorrhage

(1) Find soft birth canal injury or uterine rupture in time and actively deal with it.

(2) To estimate the amount of bleeding timely and correctly, especially a small amount of persistent bleeding, we can objectively estimate the amount of bleeding by monitoring the changes of hemoglobin and hematocrit.

(3) Replenish blood volume in time, transfuse blood as much as possible conditionally, and avoid excessive replenishment of crystal fluid.

(4) Remove the causes of bleeding promptly and decisively, including hysterectomy or laparotomy.

(5) Timely termination of pregnancy, especially placental abruption.

2. Actively deal with the inducing factors of obstetric infection and rationally apply antibiotics

(1) Strict sterile operation during delivery and operation.

(2) Discover the injury of soft birth canal in time.

(3) Actively prevent infection when premature rupture of membranes occurs.

(4) Avoid residual placental tissue.

(5) Rational use of antibiotics.
