pityrosporum folliculitis

Pityrosporum folliculitis is a hair follicle fungal infection of skin caused by Pityrosporum rotundus or ovoid. Officially reported and named by Potter in 1973. It is more common in young patients. The skin lesions are isolated and scattered red dome hair follicle papules or pustules. Exclude bacterial folliculitis, acne vulgaris, papular cutaneous candidiasis, eosinophilia...
