manganese poisoning

Manganese poisoning is a toxic reaction caused by excessive intake of manganese. Acute manganese poisoning can be caused by oral administration of potassium permanganate or inhalation of high concentration manganese oxide smoke, and acute corrosive gastroenteritis, irritating bronchitis and pneumonia are its main clinical manifestations.
