Vaginal squamous carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor of vagina. Because vaginal mucosa is covered by squamous epithelium, 80% ~ 90% of primary vaginal carcinoma is primary squamous cell carcinoma of vagina. It is generally believed that vaginal squamous carcinoma may have the whole process from intraepithelial tumor (VAIN) stage to invasive carcinoma. Because there are few cases, the natural development process of this cancer has not been fully understood.
