Brief introduction of trichoepithelioma

Trichoepithelioma is also known as cystic adenoid epithelioma, multiple benign cystic epithelioma and multiple papular trichoepithelioma. This tumor is a benign tumor originated from hair. Multiple-type cases are related to heredity, and most of them are autosomal dominant inheritance, but single-type cases have no family history. Traditionally, cystic adenoid epithelioma refers to multiple lesions, while trichoepithelioma can refer to single and multiple lesions. It is generally believed that this kind of tumor originates from pluripotent basal cells and tends to differentiate into hair.
