Brief introduction of bromine poisoning

Bromides such as sodium bromide, potassium bromide, ammonium bromide, tribromide mixture or tribromide tablets and bromocaffeine mixture are commonly used in medical treatment. Bromide poisoning in children is mostly caused by overdose by mistake. Because of its slow excretion, cumulative poisoning can also occur after long-term application in the treatment of diseases. Bromide is easy to pass through placenta, and if pregnant women take a large amount orally, it can cause poisoning of fetus or newborn. Sodium bromide, potassium bromide and ammonium bromide are all white crystalline powders with salty taste. It has been reported that many people are poisoned by cooking with salt by mistake.
