Brief introduction of bacterial synergistic gangrene

Bacterial synergistic gangrene is also called Meleneys synergistic gangrene, or progressive synergistic necrosis. It is a subcutaneous tissue infection caused by microaerobic non-hemolytic streptococcus and anaerobic streptococcus. In addition, soft tissue infection of limbs can also lead to pathological changes of gangrene. Bacterial synergistic gangrene has a slow course and rare occurrence, but soft tissue necrosis is serious.
