Confusing disease: arteriosclerosis

This disease should be distinguished from pyoderma gangrenosum, venous or arteriosclerotic ulcer and ulcer caused by allergic vasculitis. Pyoderma gangrenosum is characterized by destructive necrotic and non-infectious skin ulcer, furuncle-like nodules, pustules or hemorrhagic bullae. For early erythema nodules or pustules, this disease can be attributed to vasculitis. Tenderful erythema nodularis, which is red at first, then turns blue at the center, and finally forms ulcer. One or more blisters and pustules, such as acne, folliculitis, transient acantholytic dermatitis or herpetic dermatitis. Two kinds of skin lesions can appear at the same time, and can also change with each other. Skin lesions can occur in normal skin or original skin diseases. Travelling marginal painful ulcers and the exudation of foul-smelling yellowish-green pus have diagnostic value. Once a definite diagnosis is made, oral high-dose corticosteroids should be given.
